Producer management
At the producers' side
As a cooperative, Landgard puts great emphasis on close cooperation with the producer companies, for which Landgard identifies and opens up the existing markets. The producer management department is a competent partner for horticultural companies in all matters relating to deliveries and product range development.
Accessing markets together.
In its cooperation with producers, Landgard relies on long-term partnerships. The strength of Landgard, year-round deliveries of regionally produced products, is based on the performance capability of the horticultural companies. Regional focus is an important principle in supply management, and is growing in significance. Landgard is therefore not only close to the customer, but equally close to the producers. The producer management department works closely with the product and quality management division. The producers thus gain a comprehensive overview of the wishes of customers. At regular producer meetings, the producers have the opportunity to communicate with one another, receive market information, and review product requirements and sales opportunities. The customers require depth and breadth of product range. The bundling of producer companies’ product ranges enables Landgard to open up markets, ensure customer satisfaction, and give the producer companies the greatest possible degree of planning and marketing security.
Diverse support services.
An important role is played here by giving advice and passing on information to the producers, enabling them to ensure that their cultivation meets the demand. The producer management department performs such tasks as cell culture controls and supporting cultivation planning, but also product scouting, i.e. the identification of promising new features in the product ranges of growers. Here it acts as the interface between production and marketing. As partners of Landgard, the producers can benefit from the experience and market competence at Landgard, and jointly define strategies for how they will approach the markets.
Landgard offers to develop individual concepts for the companies, and to support the producers in implementing them. This also applies to making investment decisions and applying for subsidies, as well as to contact with industry organisations, professional associations, public authorities and banks.
